His name is Gary Greff. He’s a local guy with a crazy dream. And he built it all—seven massive sculptures—out of old farm junk.

Gary wanted to save his dying town. People were leaving. So he grabbed a welding torch and a pile of oil drums. Now, he’s a metal-working legend.

“Why not make art?” he thought. And then he made the biggest art you’ve ever seen. The tallest piece is a whopping 110 feet high!

What You’ll Actually See

First up: “Geese in Flight.” It spans the entire road. These aren’t real geese, obviously. They’re steel—and they look like they’re about to drop a giant metal egg on your rental car.

Then comes the “Deer in the Meadow.” Imagine 20 giant, rust-colored deer leaping over nothing. It’s peaceful, weird, and absolutely Instagram-worthy.

Don’t miss “Fisherman’s Dream.” A single guy in a boat wrestles a fish the size of a school bus. The fish has a smirk. I’m not kidding—the fish looks smug.

And then there’s “Pheasants on the Prairie.” Two pheasants, as big as tanks, strut by the road. They look like dinosaurs if dinosaurs wore feathers and lived in North Dakota.

The “Grasshoppers in the Field” is pure chaos. Four giant bugs that look like they might hop away. Spoiler: they don’t. They’re bolted down. Probably for the best.

Finally, “The Teddy Rides Again.” Yes, a giant teddy bear on a motorcycle. It’s a tribute to Theodore Roosevelt. No, that’s not a joke. He’s wearing a hat. It’s weirdly patriotic.
